Scott’s Starter with Weed Preventer is a starter fertilizer with mesotrione in it. Also known as Tenacity, mesotrione allows grass to germinate while preventing many weeds.
I use this product in every lawn renovation or anytime I overseed the lawn because it reduces the number of weeds that germinate during the process. Without it you’ll find the weeds can take over and cause problems with your newly planted seed.
